However, the winter vacation is coming up, so I'll be working my job at the good ol' movie store again for a couple weeks! In my spare time, I may pick up some old applications that I had been working on...or I may teach myself the wonders of JScript pages and other such magical entities so that I may make firefox addons haha.
Otherwise, I'll be having fun messing around with Flash. Who knows, maybe a little of it all. I've always been one to dabble in a lot of programming languages. I'm currently up to the following programming/mark-up/query languages: BASIC, C++, Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP/ASPX, VBScript, SQL, and ActionScript. I'm hoping to add Ruby, Perl, Python, and LISP to this list in the next year or two, especially LISP since I'd really like to make the jump into some AI programming (it'll be interesting to see what happens when programming code can change itself).
If I do end up finishing some of the programming projects that I always seem to start but never find the time to finish, I'll definitely either post them here on dA or put them up on a web host for people to download. And I'll drop the hint that one of the things I'm working on right now is a web-based strategy game. The title is tentative and a LOT of it is subject to change right now since its still mostly in the planning stages, but I'm either going to have my own registration system for it right now or I'm going to merge it into the Facebook login interface so that I can bypass that junk and just store user emails in the database for the game and not have to worry about any other junk since that'll be taken care of thanks to the Facebook open application platform. However, for portability's sake, I'll probably just do my own login interface. The game is designed solely with Firefox in mind. I don't have the patience or will to test it in IE7 (cause I know it won't work in IE6 and I'm not taking the time to upgrade), but if once the game is done and someone with IE7 installed lets me know that the menus (which are CSS-designed for Firefox) work fine in IE7, then IE7 users can play as well but IE6 users are just SOL. Sorry on that one folks. I usually have the time to make my stuff cross-browser compliant, but that's when I'm working on big projects and this game is just a simple side project that I do in my free time.
